Join fiber artist Kianga Jinaki for a creative afternoon designing your own mixed-media collage cards using some of her favorite surface design techniques.

DOROTHY HAMILTON SCHOLARSHIP
One seat in this workshop is available to an FAU student for just the cost of materials ($10) thanks to funds raised in memory of Dorothy Hamilton, who loved JCBA’s monthly Real Mail Fridays letter writing socials. To be considered for this seat, you must be a current FAU student and send an email to email@example.com explaining what it would mean to you to have the opportunity to take this workshop. Applications for this opportunity will be accepted through June 15, 2019.
Instructor Kianga Jinaki is a fiber artist whose works are collected by the Jaffe Collection and who often shows at JCBA’s Makers Marketplaces. She has exhibited nationally and teaches extensively throughout South Florida. Most recently, Kianga has been working with Spady Museum and Daughter of Zion Academy in Delray Beach helping students create fiber art works that include a quilt honoring the quilt codes of the Underground Railroad, messenger bags, and African patchwork pillows.
