DESCRIPTION: If greater well-being isn't enough of an incentive, scientists have discovered that mindfulness techniques help improve physical health in a number of ways. Mindfulness can help relieve stress, lower blood pressure, reduce chronic pain, and improve sleep. Dr. Lizotte-Waniewski will provide information about the many wellness benefits of mindfulness and lead the class through a guided meditation

CONSULTANT: Michelle Lizotte-Waniewski, PhD Dr. Lizotte-Waniewski is a faculty member at the Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University who serves as director of the Health First program.
