DESCRIPTION:Our Biotech Bridge Hackathon is a thee-day event where particip
 ants form teams of 3-6 people to create innovative solutions to life scienc
 e problems that stand in the way of people living a longer\, healthier life
 . Team projects will encompass disciplines such as (but not limited to) mol
 ecular biology\, biochemistry\, environmental chemistry\, nutrition\, bioin
 formatics\, computational science\, AI/machine learning\, medicine\, busine
 ss\, arts\, and neuroscience. All Majors are welcome! From developing creat
 ive solutions to brain\, heart\, and gut health challenges—whether through 
 testing new hypotheses\, mining public datasets\, creating apps\, designing
  wearables\, or in a variety of other ways—we aim to advance understanding 
 of lifespan dynamics and ultimately enhance health outcomes.\n\nAll FAU und
 ergraduate and graduate students are invited to participate regardless of t
 heir major. While there is no requirement to have students from different m
 ajors on the same team\, we strongly encourage teams to include members fro
 m different majors\, colleges\, and specialties. There will also be an inte
 rdisciplinary group of faculty and industry mentors available to the teams 
 to provide guidance and answer questions throughout the Hackathon. At the c
 onclusion of the Hackathon\, all teams will present their project to a pane
 l of judges. Prizes will be presented on Sunday\, February 1 at the Awards 
 Ceremony.
