Instructors Kelly Sullivan & John Cutrone
Your choice of Wednesday July 25 or Sunday July 29, 2018
10 AM to 2 PM at JCBA Book Arts Gallery, Printshop and Bindery

Jaffe Center for Book Arts
Class limit: 10 (you must register ahead of time!)
Tuition: $35

Kids love books and you know what else they love? Making books. In this whirlwind summer session, we’ll show your kids books like they’ve never seen before––books made by artists, books that do amazing things, books that will make them way "WHOA!” They’ll experience slinky books, pop up books, tunnel books, smelly books… books that will get them thinking about books in a whole new way. We’ll also take them through the JCBA Print Shop where they will see presses from long before they were born (how does 1890 sound to you?), and they will even crank out a print on our 1940s Vandercook printing press. And we’ll show them how to make a book using collage and watercolor techniques they can use at home, too.

We’ll take up to 10 curious kids at each session. Kids enrolled must be accompanied by a parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle or other adult (we’ll have coffee and fun to keep you busy, too, while your kids are in the Bindery making their books). There will be a snack break at each session, too!

Advance registration is required for all JCBA workshops. Register here:
