For two incredible weekends in 2012, nearly a thousand people came to the Jaffe Center for Book Arts for a series of sold-out intimate performances in which they experienced a groundbreaking pop-up book that came to life through the magic of digital projection. This astounding book is called The Icebook, and its creators, Davy & Kristin McGuire, came from their home in the UK to operate the book through hundreds of performances, each for just 12 people. It was perhaps the most magical thing we've ever brought to JCBA.

On the 22nd of April, we invite you to join us via Zoom Webinar or a live Meet the Artists presentation of their work that spans the genres of Film, Installation Art, Live Performance, Theatre, Immersive Art, and Experience Design. Their work beyond The Icebook is fascinating.

Davy & Kristin McGuire are multi-award winning multimedia artists, renowned for their idiosyncratic experiments in digital projection and storytelling. Combining physical installations and virtual experiences they create elegant and exquisitely crafted worlds full of visual wonders. Their works have been exhibited, sold, published, and screened internationally, and their critically acclaimed theatrical projects have been invited to tour to more than 100 venues in 23 different countries over 4 continents.
