Is the FAU CNA course board-certified?
The FAU CNA course is a test preparation course intended for students to “challenge” the CNA exam. The exam preparation course is not affiliated with any certifying boards. The instructors are Nurses and are approved through the Florida Board of Nursing to teach various certification courses.
Does the tuition include the cost of the state license exam?
No. Students must sign up through Prometric Testing Centers and pay them directly before, during, or after the prep course. Prometric Centers are located nearby; you will go to their facility to test.
Background check: is that something I must pay before taking the course, or is it needed before taking the State exam?
The background check will have to be done prior to signing up for the Prometric exam.
Will there be any requirements for work outside the classroom?
No. All lectures and skills will be performed during the designated days and times of the course.
Registration and Course Fees
If FAU students would like to take both EKG and CNA, we offer a special price of $575 for both (spring semester only).
FAU students pay $325.00
Non-FAU students pay $575.00.
Parking fees are not included in the cost of the course.
All materials are included.
The course meets in person on Saturday and Sunday 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. on the Davie campus and Monday through Thursday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. via Zoom.

Once the class starts, we cannot provide a refund. However, before the start of class, a 20% fee will be charged for processing and university fees.
