October 25 – 31 is Open Access Week. Many are skeptical of open access publications because of predatory or deceptive publishers who misuse open access publishing. This 50-minute webinar debunks this by defining deceptive publishers, their attributes, and ways to determine them. It also shows potential examples and their solicitations to publish in them. For graduate students, undergraduate students interested in publishing, staff and faculty.
Faculty and Instructors: use any of these webinars as an assignment or extra credit! A quiz and certificate can show proof of attendance. For additional information, contact FAU Libraries Scholarly Communication Services at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit https://bit.ly/scs-fau.
