Along with countless other artists and organizations around the world, FAU Ceramics and the Ceramics Guild of FAU invite you  to help end hunger by hosting our annual Empty Bowls event on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 in the Rotunda of the Social Science Building on the Boca Raton campus from 10:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. Come support this community outreach event!  Together we can create a positive and lasting change through the arts, education, and community.

Helping celebrate the Empty Bowls Project 28th year, an international grassroots effort to raise both money and awareness in the fight to end hunger, FAU Ceramics and the Ceramics Guild of FAU has created and is donating over 400 handcrafted bowls to serve you a delicious simple meal of soup and bread. Local restaurants such as Rocco Tacos, Panera Bread and Louie Bossi’s have donated a variety of soups, and fresh breads. Guests to the event choose a bowl to use that day and to keep as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world. In exchange for the meal, and bowl, guests contribute a minimal donation starting at $10.00. One hundred percent of the proceeds are devoted to two charitable organizations of South Florida - The Caring Kitchen of Delray Beach and the Tri-County Animal Shelter.
