About this Event
Over the past 15 years, the tech industry made a lot of promises for how it was going to transform the transport system for the better. But after the visions for autonomous vehicles, Hyperloop trains, Boring Company tunnels, and flying cars didn’t live up to the hype, it’s time for a different approach to address the problems in our transport system. Paris Marx will explore why Silicon Valley’s vision for mobility failed, how digital technology is really being integrated into the transport system, and what it will take to ensure better mobility for everyone.
With Paris Marx is a Canadian tech critic and host of the award-winning Tech Won’t Save Us podcast. He writes Disconnect and is the author of Road to Nowhere: What Silicon Valley Gets Wrong about the Future of Transportation.
