Talented high school students from around the state will perform side-by-side with members of the FAU Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Laura Joella. Repertoire to be performed will be selected from the following: Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Elegy, from Serenade for Strings; Piazzolla’s Melodia en la Menor, Canto de Octubre; Bizet’s Adagietto, from L’Arlésienne Suite No. 1; Wirén’s Marcia, from Serenade for String Orchestra; Coleridge-Taylor’s Noveletten No. 4, Op. 52; José Luis Elizondo’s “Sunset in Guadalajara,” from Latin American Dances, and his “Ferial,” from Estampas Mexicanas.
