1/4 Workshops hosted by FAU Counseling and Psychological Services
This 8-session group utilizes a meditative way of being called “mindfulness” that research has shown to be effective at reducing stress, anxiety, and depression.
Individuals learn how to be more present, slow-down, and pay attention to the moment while managing their hectic lives.
The Mindfulness Skills Group meets on:
Wednesdays from 1 - 2 p.m.
Thursdays from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Feeling Stressed? Overwhelmed? Wanting new ways to cope? Join a skills group! FAU CAPS's skill groups are led by mental health professionals who teach students how to lead more healthy, satisfying lives. Students often learn new ways of
handling stress, anxiety, and depression which allows for a more emotionally satisfying lifestyle.
Skills-based groups are designed to teach you skills that improve your mental health and be incorporated into your daily life. These groups tend to be more structured than the other groups and are mainly driven by the therapist providing the skills that group members are to practice within and outside of the session.
Please stop by the office for Counseling and Psychological Services or call 561-297-3540 to schedule an appointment to find the right skills group for you!
