FAU CAPS: Support Groups-LGBT Support

Support Group hosted by FAU Counseling and Psychological Services

The LGBTQ Support Group meets on:

Mondays from 3 - 4:30 p.m.

Is open to students who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or questioning.

This group fosters connection and emotional support while exploring themes relevant to the lives of LGBTQ students including but not limited to: relationships with friends/family/partners, coming out, being out in different contexts, and identity intersections.

Feel alone in your struggles? Misunderstood? Isolated? Join a support group! FAU CAPS's support groups are designed to provide students who share a similarity a safe space to connect and talk openly about their lives. Students who join support groups often learn they are not alone in their concerns, difficulties, or experiences. Each support group is facilitated by a mental health professional.

Please stop by the office for Counseling and Psychological Services or call 561-297-3540 to schedule an appointment to find the right support group for you!
