Located behind the football field, the FAU preserve is a local nature area with a fascinating history. Learn about some of the research currently happening on campus, explore a nearby Nature Trail, and become familiar with local South Florida plants and animals. The FAU preserve is home to countless burrowing owls, gopher tortoises, rabbits, grad student research, and a coyote. This is also a great opportunity to hear about Campus Recreation and the SEEDS environmental club which maintains the preserve. Wear shoes for walking and long pants.
