Frontiers in Science Public Lecture Series with Dr. Jason Kalirai

“Our Place in the Universe”

From Galileo to Edwin Hubble, to scientists using NASA's Space Telescopes, our understanding of the fundamental question, "What is our Place in the Universe" has been overthrown numerous times. Join Dr. Jason Kalirai as he journeys the cosmos and shapes a roadmap to answer the next installment of this question; Are We Alone?

The 2019 FAU Frontiers in Science lecture series runs from Friday, January 11 through Friday, April 5. Learn about topics such as the astrobiology of meteorites, to keeping your genome safe. Explore the sciences with eight researchers and innovators from across the globe and right here in our own community. We invited experts in the fields of Anthropology, Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Geosciences, Mathematics, and Physics. Science Dean, Dr. Ata Sarajedini states, “My hope is that these lectures stir you to deeper learning, explain your world, ignite your discussions, and bring the richness of the sciences to you.”
