DESCRIPTION:Juniors and Seniors (60+ credits) of all majors are invited to 
 attend the Government and Non-Profit Internship Fair and apply to paid int
 ernships with local Government and Non-Profit Agencies. \n\nThis fair is i
 n partnership with a new Government and Non-Profit Internship Program that
  will be funded by Florida Atlantic University\, where you may be able to 
 gain experience\, acquire skills highly sought by employers\, network\, an
 d earn credits towards your degree completion. Please read the information
  below carefully.\n\nEvent Details:\nThursday\, November 6\, 2025\n11 am -
  3 pm\nBoca Raton Campus Student Union\, Grand Palm Room\n\nInternship Gui
 delines & Details:  \n\nInternship Employers: Intern at a local governme
 nt agency or non-profit organization.  \n\nInternship Function: All roles 
 within government and non-profits.  \n\nEligibility: Open to all juniors o
 r seniors with 60+ completed credits. Current FAU student employees may 
 not be eligible due to maximum hour limitations.  \n\nCompensation: $20/ho
 ur\, up to 20 hours per week for a duration of 16 weeks.  \n\nWork Envir
 onment: On-site only — remote or hybrid arrangements are not permitted.
   \n\nAcademic Expectations: Students will be required to register for t
 he Professional Internship course (IDS 3949) while completing the internsh
 ip\, earning anywhere between 0 and 4 credits for their experience\, depen
 ding on the student’s interest and credit hour capacity.  \n\n Next Step
 s & Important Dates:    \n\nOctober 2025: Schedule an appointment or
  stop by the Career Center for Drop-In Career Coaching to ensure your resu
 me looks professional and prepare for the Government & Non-Profit Organiza
 tions Career Fair.  \n\nNovember 6\, 2025: Attend the upcoming Government 
 & Non-Profit Organizations Career Fair on campus to network with participa
 ting organizations. For more information about the Career Fair and to regi

 nterview and secure internship. \n\nDecember 2025: Finalize hiring and Hum
 an Resources arrangements.  \n\nEarly January 2025: Attend a mandatory on-
 campus Training Internship Orientation by the Career Center on how to maxi
 mize the internship experience\, proper etiquette and netiquette\, network
 ing\, career tips\, academic expectations\, and Student Affairs resources.
  The training will include what to do before starting the internship\, dur
 ing the internship\, and after the internship.   \n\nJanuary 2025: Begin t
 he internship.
