DOROTHY HAMILTON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
One seat in this workshop is available to an FAU student for the cost of materials ($35) thanks to funds raised in memory of Dorothy Hamilton, who loved JCBA’s monthly Real Mail Fridays letter writing socials. For this workshop, the recipient of the Dorothy Hamilton Memorial Scholarship will be assisting the instructor. To be considered for this honor, you must be a current FAU student and send an email to jcutrone@fau.edu explaining what it would mean to you to have the opportunity to take this workshop. Applications for this opportunity will be accepted through November 4, 2019.

Instructor Kim Spivey <www.kimspivey.com> is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University with an MFA in painting and a BFA in printmaking, and has completed a certificate program in green printmaking in intaglio at Zea Mays Printmaking in Florence, MA. Spivey has applied what she learned at Zea Mays to her own studio where she is set up to create without the use of solvents or tar based materials commonly found in traditional printmaking studios. Her work explores the beauty that is found from deep observation, exploring the flux that can be found in the intricate nature of mark making.
