 orkshop will be recorded\, and video will be available to registered stude
 nts for at least 30 days after the workshop.\n\n \n\nThe Miura Ori folded-
 vase construction is simply joyful for those who love working with paper. 
 Participants will be introduced to basic paper pleating concepts\, then ap
 ply this knowledge to create a beautiful three-dimensional vessel that can
  be purely artful or elegantly practical. A basic PDF template\, which can
  be endlessly altered to create vases of varying height and circumference\
 , will be emailed to each participant. Additionally\, paper decorating tec
 hniques and appropriate papers choices will be discussed. All participants
  will be sent some papers to try out during our session (so we will need y
 our mailing address as well as your email address).\n\n \n\nREGISTRATION\n
 \nAdvance registration is required for all JCBA workshops. For more detail

 ohn will send you an email explaining how to pay your tuition online. It's
  a simple process. Class limit: 16.\n\n \n\n \n\nTUITION\n\nThis workshop 
 has a set tuition of $100.\n\n \n\n \n\nWHAT YOU'LL NEED\n\nComputer or ta
 blet with Internet connection.\n\nScissors.\n\nPVA and applicator (brush o
 r squeeze bottle) or Bearly Craft Glue.\n\nStraight edge metal rulers: it'
 s handy to have both a 12" straight edge and a smaller one.\n\nGlue stick.
 \n\nScoring tool: A ballpoint pen\, with or without ink\, will work well a
 s a scoring tool for class.\n\nA soft surface to press into while scoring.
  A generous pile of newsprint or a seed catalogue will work well. This is 
 very important to have\, so don’t overlook this supply!\n\nThe packet of
  paper that the instructor will mail to you.\n\n \n\nInstructor Paula Bear
 dell Krieg (she/her) has been a paper enthusiast for as long as she can re
 member\, taking particular delight in 3D paper transformations. For thirty
  years she collaborated regularly with classroom teachers to create engagi
 ng and dynamic projects for all age groups. Her adult workshops have taken
  place both on Zoom and in-person at institutions ranging from the Metropo
 litan Museum of Art\, Center for Book Arts\, the Museum of Mathematics. Pa
 ula teaches regularly for the Jaffe Center for Book Arts.
