Starting with the End in Mind

Did you know there are offices and organizations dedicated to supporting first generation and multicultural students?Do you know what an internship is or how to find one?Do you know what professional networking is and how to do it?The FAU Career Center in collaboration with the First Generation Student Success Office and the Center for IDEAS, presents Starting with the End in Mind. Often, many students enter college and are unsure about how to navigate the next four years successfully. Students attain their degree but, leave feeling as if they did not take all the right steps to secure their success upon graduation. This process can be especially challenging for students of marginalized populations, who may not have the support or knowledge that other students may have. In this presentation, first year students of any background will learn various tips on steps they can take while in college to help build towards successful futures. Students will hear from members of the featured offices and FAU alumni/students.
