On October 7, 2023, Hamas militants crossed into Israel from Gaza and killed 1,400 people, mostly civilians, while taking hostage more than 250 as they retreated to Gaza. As of March 2024, the Israel-Hamas war that followed these attacks had caused much destruction and exacted a devastating toll on civilians with no clear end to the war. In this one-time lecture, Dr. Adi Levy will address the legacy of the war a year into the conflict. Is a two-state solution still feasible? What awaits Israel both domestically and regionally? Can Israel maintain its largely peaceful relations with the neighboring countries? Dr. Levy will shed light on the shifting regional and global dynamics against the backdrop of internal crises in Israel.
