About this Event
The 18th Century was a time of radical new ideas about human being itself. The philosophers of that time developed arguments for liberty and egalitarianism. Meanwhile, artists and musicians seized upon the concepts of reason and symmetry stretching back to the classical era to produce works that inspired both personally and socially. All of these forces together fueled major revolutions, including the founding of the United States. In this lecture series, Taylor Hagood will present these interweaving elements of philosophy, art, and social upheaval.
This lecture series will be live in-person with a video option.
