The Power and Poetry of the Great Greek Tragedians

Dr. Margery Marcus examines the history of Greek drama from Aeschylus, the first tragedian who set the standard, to Sophocles whose Oedipus cycle both horrifies and fascinates audiences 2,500 years after it was written to Euripides who captured betrayal and jealousy on a scale rarely duplicated. Professor Marcus' lecture is accompanied by a PowerPoint presentation and a handout of dramatic terms related to ancient Greek drama.
